notes that the Naim NDX 2 sounds very good even without the XPS DR power supply, but that adding the XPS DR gives the sound extra control, power, and authority. Dynamics and bass lines benefit from this, resulting in a solid and substantial listening experience. Although the NDX 2 is already impressive without the external power supply, adding the XPS DR makes a noticeable difference. Returning to the original configuration without the XPS DR was found to be less satisfying.
