Reviews & awards | Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista 300 Power Amplifier

Stereophile

Michael Fremer praised the Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista 300 for its ability to convey the purity and clarity of the Nu-Vista preamp to the speakers. He highlights the amplifier's wide bandwidth, low distortion and huge dynamic range. Fremer notes that the high input impedance and advanced circuitry provide a remarkably clear and extended high frequency response without any graininess or distortion. He describes the mid frequencies as pure and without coloration, similar to looking through the purest optical crystal. In addition, he praises the deep and fast low frequency response, with speed, impact and attack, stating that it is virtually impossible to overdrive the Nu-Vista 300 in the low frequency range.

HomeTheaterReview

Ken Kessler highlights the power and finesse of the Nu-Vista 300, noting that it combines the delicacy of small, single-ended triode amplifiers with dynamic swings that no 300B-based amplifier could ever exhibit with less sensitive speakers. He praises the amp for its ability to handle both massive and intimate pieces of music with ease, describing it as professional, slightly business-like, absolutely unflappable and never a misstep. Kessler notes that the Nu-Vista 300 creates a tangible, dimensionally correct 3D soundstage with the proficiency of an American amplifier, and praises the impact and transient speed that sets it apart from mid-range equipment.

CD

The first digital video records were introduced in 1972. After a flop by Philips, the manufacturer, together with Sony, released the first CD in 1979. We do not know what it contained, but in 1982 the first CD was released for the market, it was the album Visitors by ABBA. In this year the first player became available and so began the elimination of the LP from the market. Many have literally thrown their LPs in the trash… we still see some visitors being disappointed when they tell us this.
