General description
The Lyngdorf TDAI-2170 is an integrated digital amplifier known for its clear and undistorted sound reproduction. Thanks to all-digital signal processing, the audio signal is sent directly to the speakers without unnecessary conversions, resulting in a noise-free listening experience.
A notable feature of the TDAI-2170 is the RoomPerfect™ technology. This feature analyzes the acoustics of the listening room and adjusts the speakers’ output accordingly. This minimizes the influence of the room and makes the music sound as the artist intended. Even when speakers are placed close to the wall, RoomPerfect™ ensures optimal sound reproduction.
The TDAI-2170 is flexibly expandable with various modules. For example, an HDMI module is available with multiple inputs and one output, compatible with CEC and ARC, making integration with other devices easy. There is also a USB audio module for playing high-resolution audio files from a computer, and an analog input module that includes a phono input for record players.
The design of the TDAI-2170 combines functionality with a sleek appearance. The housing is made of black glass and aluminum, providing a timeless look that fits into any interior.
With its combination of digital amplification, advanced room correction and expansion capabilities, the Lyngdorf TDAI-2170 offers a versatile solution for a variety of listening environments and preferences.
General description
Also so tired of having to turn on your whole stack of components? If they have a so-called trigger (this one does), then you’re in the right place. Trigger cable in between, and everything switches each other on or off (as long as they don’t mix).
SPDIF is the abbreviation for Sony/Philips Digital Interface Format. (Nice that we, as a small country, have had influence there!) It is a standard for the transmission of a digital signal between, for example, a streamer or CD drive to dac. The cable used makes quite a difference in playback. A standard cable shows mostly a messy and abundant low, and the middle and high sludge into a mess. There are many who dispute this. Be skeptical, but there has to be a time for evaluation.
Optical input, interference-free and therefore proven to be the better option with some dacs, although they are often limiting in bitrate (yet there are dacs that let in up to 24 bit/192 kHz). The cable used is hugely important we can report, we’d be happy to let you assess these differences.
USB ports can transport up to the highest possible bit rate. Although sometimes they are only for connecting an external drive.
The possibility of calibration allows for automatic acoustic adjustment by software without having to lug furniture and panels around. Saves hassle and back pain.
Background information
The Lyngdorf TDAI-2170 is designed as a pure digital integrated amplifier developed by Peter Lyngdorf and his team. The focus is on signal purity without noise or distortion thanks to a fully digital signal path. The cabinet is made of aluminum and steel for optimal shielding and cooling. Components are audiophile selected; the internal layout minimizes interference. Production takes place in Denmark to strict quality standards.
