The LUMIN T3 is built according to a design philosophy of maximum resolution and minimum noise. It utilizes a fully dual-mono circuit design with carefully selected ESS Sabre DAC chips (ES9028Pro). The chassis is CNC-machined from solid aluminum, partly to counteract resonances and minimize electromagnetic interference. The internal layout and cabling are neatly organized for optimal signal integrity. LUMIN develops and assembles its products in-house in Hong Kong, using high-end components from selected suppliers.
In 2012, LUMIN introduced the world's first network player capable of playing DSD files. After two years of development and hundreds of hours of critical listening, this product was launched with a single forum post.
