The IsoAcoustics GAIA II is a set of isolation feet designed for floorstanding speakers and subwoofers up to 55 kg. With a dark chromed metal enclosure and patented isolation technology, the GAIA II offers improved sound clarity and a more spacious soundstage. The isolators reduce vibration and internal reflections, resulting in a more open and natural sound. Installation is simple: replace existing spikes or feet with the GAIA II and make sure the logo points toward the listening position for optimal performance. The set comes with adapters for common thread sizes M6-1.0, M8-1.25 and ¼”-20 to fit most speakers. Optional carpet discs are available for thicker carpets to ensure stability. Brand history

IsoAcoustics Inc. has been manufacturing and distributing insulation products in the audio industry since January 2012. The patented IsoAcoustics technology is based on years of experience in designing and building radio and television studios. The driving force is Dave Morrison, closely involved in the planning and construction of radio and television studios at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation for nearly 20 years. Dave Morrison was part of the design team facing the challenge of building the world’s largest multimedia center in Toronto: more than 1.72 million square feet, with recording studios for drama, music and chamber music ensembles, special effects, radio and television shows. Decoupling at a high level resulting in tighter reproduction…. we love it!

GAIA II isolators are screwed into the base of the loudspeaker to replace existing spikes or feet. For optimal results, the logo should be facing the listening position, or rotated 180 degrees so that the isolators are in line with the motion forces of the speaker.

CD

De Compact Disc (CD) kwam zoals de meeste uitvindingen niet uit de lucht vallen. Na de uitvinding van de laser in 1958 werd in 1961 het eerste octrooi voor optisch leesbare schijven ingediend. In 1972 werden de eerste digitale videoplaten geïntroduceerd. Na een flop van Philips kwam de fabrikant in 1979 samen met Sony met de eerste cd, wat erop stond weten wij niet maar in 1982 kwam de eerste cd voor de markt uit, het was het album Visitors van ABBA. In dit jaar kwam de eerste speler beschikbaar en zo begon de verdrijving van de lp uit de markt. Velen hebben hun lp’s letterlijk bij het vuil gezet… sommige bezoekers zien wij nog steeds balen als ze dit vertellen. Heb je cd’s, geniet er vooral nog eens van, ze hebben immers geen oneindige levensduur.

CD

Die Compact Disc (CD) kam, wie die meisten Erfindungen, nicht aus heiterem Himmel. Nach der Erfindung des Lasers im Jahr 1958 wurde 1961 das erste Patent für optisch lesbare Discs angemeldet. 1972 wurden die ersten digitalen Video-Discs eingeführt. Nach einem Flop von Philips tat sich der Hersteller 1979 mit Sony zusammen, um die erste CD auf den Markt zu bringen. Was darauf war, wissen wir nicht, aber 1982 wurde die erste CD für den Markt veröffentlicht, es war ABBAs Album Visitors. In diesem Jahr kam auch der erste Player auf den Markt und damit begann die Verdrängung der LP vom Markt. Viele warfen ihre LPs buchstäblich in den Müll… einige Besucher schrecken immer noch zurück, wenn sie uns das erzählen. Wenn Sie CDs haben, sollten Sie sie auf jeden Fall wieder genießen, denn sie haben keine unendliche Lebenserwartung.

CD

The Compact Disc (CD), like most inventions, did not appear out of thin air. After the invention of the laser in 1958, the first patent for optically readable disks was filed in 1961. The first digital video records were introduced in 1972. After a flop by Philips, the manufacturer, together with Sony, released the first CD in 1979. We do not know what it contained, but in 1982 the first CD was released for the market, it was the album Visitors by ABBA. In this year the first player became available and so began the elimination of the LP from the market. Many have literally thrown their LPs in the trash… we still see some visitors being disappointed when they tell us this. Velen hebben hun lp’s letterlijk bij het vuil gezet… sommige bezoekers zien wij nog steeds balen als ze dit vertellen.
