The Conrad-Johnson ET6 SE is a tube preamplifier that closely follows the design of the GAT, Conrad-Johnson's flagship product. With a triode vacuum tube for voltage amplification and zero-feedback line-stage circuitry, the ET6 SE offers sound quality far beyond what you would expect in this price range.
The preamplifier features six separate line-level inputs, including a "tape" loop and a theater loop, facilitating integration into a home theater system. In addition, there is an infrared remote control for all functions.
For vinyl enthusiasts, an optional phono stage is available, based on the zero-feedback audio circuit of the TEA1-S3 phono stage. You can choose between a high-gain version for cartridges with an output of 1.0 mV or less, and a low-gain version for cartridges with a higher output. The input resistance is switchable between 47 kOhm and 200 Ohm.
The ET6 SE uses high-quality components such as CJD Teflon capacitors and metal foil resistors at critical points in the circuit. This contributes to low noise and clear sound reproduction.

The cabinet is heavy-duty damped steel with aluminum front panel, handmade in the USA with premium components from selected suppliers.
