Description

Description Freakuence!
Okay, listeners, here we have a cable that stands its ground. According to Stereophile’s John Atkinson, who compared several AC cables, changing just one cable in the system could significantly affect sound quality. He noted that different cables emphasized or weakened certain aspects of the sound, such as the attack on the acoustic guitar or the sibilance in the voice. It was surprising to hear such marked differences, underscoring the impact of proper cable selection.

Background information
AudioQuest Monsoon C13 200cm is designed with a focus on pure power transmission for advanced audio equipment. The design focuses on high-quality materials such as PSC+ copper that ensures minimal distortion and optimal signal transmission. The cable structure includes multiple controlled geometries, which reduces interference. AudioQuest’s dialectric-bias system reduces the influence of isolation on the signal. The Monsoon uses Direction-Controlled Technology to minimize noise through the mains path.
Brand history
AudioQuest was founded in 1980 by William E. Low in California, United States. The brand began by hand assembling cables according to specific design methods based on minimizing distortion. AudioQuest has since developed a product line that includes interlink cables, speaker cables, digital and network cables, mains products and portable accessories. The company has stuck to the use of directional cables and solid core conductors from the beginning. In 2012, AudioQuest introduced the DragonFly, a USB DAC. Product development takes place in the United States, while some manufacturing is done in China and elsewhere. AudioQuest applies a philosophy where material selection, geometry and finish have a direct impact on cable performance.

CD

The Compact Disc (CD), like most inventions, did not appear out of thin air. After the invention of the laser in 1958, the first patent for optically readable disks was filed in 1961. The first digital video records were introduced in 1972. After a flop by Philips, the manufacturer, together with Sony, released the first CD in 1979. We do not know what it contained, but in 1982 the first CD was released for the market, it was the album Visitors by ABBA. In this year the first player became available and so began the elimination of the LP from the market. Many have literally thrown their LPs in the trash… we still see some visitors being disappointed when they tell us this.
