Description

Description Freakuence!
So, here’s a cable that can give your system a warmer, richer tone. Handy if your setup tends to sound a bit sharp. It’s a flexible cable with a matte finish that also looks great. When playing music, the sound is full and warm, without sacrificing dynamics or excitement. One minor drawback is that the rhythm sometimes comes across as a bit less tight, which can make simple beats sound a little muddled. But hey, nobody’s perfect, right?

Reviews & awards | Van den Hul The Bay 5c, approx. 75 cm

What Hi-Fi?

Van den Hul rates the The Bay C5 as an excellent choice for systems with a harsh, bright sound, thanks to the warm and rich sound it delivers. The cable has a stylish finish and is particularly well-suited for softening the brightness of certain systems. However, one drawback is that the Bay C5 has less control over the timing of songs, which can sometimes make even music with a simple beat sound muddled.

Alpha Audio

tested the Van den Hul MC Silver interconnect and concluded that it offers an excellent balance between low, mid, and high frequencies, with lifelike vocals and an impressive 3D stereo image. The cable is described as rhythmic and precise, resulting in a pleasant and relaxed listening experience. It is made of silver and costs €2,000.

CD

The Compact Disc (CD), like most inventions, did not appear out of thin air. After the invention of the laser in 1958, the first patent for optically readable disks was filed in 1961. The first digital video records were introduced in 1972. After a flop by Philips, the manufacturer, together with Sony, released the first CD in 1979. We do not know what it contained, but in 1982 the first CD was released for the market, it was the album Visitors by ABBA. In this year the first player became available and so began the elimination of the LP from the market. Many have literally thrown their LPs in the trash… we still see some visitors being disappointed when they tell us this.
