Pricey but top-notch stuff!
Townshend Seismic Isolation is an advanced system that effectively isolates audio equipment from unwanted vibration. Using Seismic Load Cells™, components such as CD players, turntables, DACs and amplifiers are decoupled from both structural and airborne vibrations. This results in a clearer soundstage, improved tone and more accurate reproduction of detail.
The Townshend Seismic Isolation system improves the dynamics and stereo image of your audio system. By breaking the acoustic coupling between the equipment and the substrate, distortions and resonances are minimized. This leads to tighter bass response and a more spacious soundstage, making music sound more natural and immersive.

Load capacity per load cell: 1–100 kg, depending on the selected type.
Dimensions: Vary by model; specific dimensions depend on the product selected.
Weight: Depends on the specific model and configuration.
Compatibility: Compatible with a variety of audio equipment, including turntables, amplifiers, DACs, CD players, speakers, and subwoofers.
Installation: Easy to install under existing equipment; level can be easily adjusted when fully loaded.
Material: High-quality steel and flexible rubber for optimal cushioning and durability.
Damping mechanism: Air-cushioned for stability and vibration isolation.
Application: Reduces structural vibrations and improves sound quality by lowering the noise floor and enhancing clarity.
Townshend Seismic Isolation products are designed with the goal of effectively isolating interfering vibrations, resulting in purer sound reproduction. Developed by engineer Max Townshend, they utilize advanced materials such as special polymers. The decoupling platforms and feet reduce mechanical energy transfer between audio components and surfaces. Townshend Audio sets high standards for their manufacturing methods and materials, working closely with specialized suppliers to ensure consistent quality. The enclosure is designed to be discreet and robust, with attention to both aesthetics and functionality.
Townshend was founded by Max Townshend in the United Kingdom. The brand released its first product in 1975: the EEQ, an equalizer designed for adjusting acoustic problems in rooms. In the following years, the company developed several products with a focus on signal transmission and vibration control. In 1983, Townshend introduced the Rock record player, featuring the Excalibur tonearm design, followed by improved versions such as the Rock 2 through the Rock 7. In the early 2000s, the brand introduced the Seismic Isolation System for mechanical decoupling of equipment. In addition, passive Supertweeters were launched for extending the frequency range of speakers. Also came interconnect and speaker cables with patented technologies such as Isolda and Fractal. In 2015, the Allegri volume control system was introduced, based on a passive transformer. Since its founding, the brand has remained active in the development of products focused on signal transmission and vibration damping.
