The Totem Element Fire V2 was designed by Totem Acoustic’s Canadian design team, led by founder Vince Bruzzese. The speaker is built according to Totem’s philosophy of musicality, minimalism and natural sound. It uses hand-selected and matched drivers, a solid wood enclosure with unique composites, and high-quality internal wiring for optimal signal purity. Everything is manufactured in Canada.
Totem was founded in 1987 in Montreal, Canada, by loudspeaker designer and acoustical engineer Vince Bruzzese. The first model launched was the Model 1, designed with specific emphasis on timing, phase coherence and frequency response. All speakers are designed with a focus on acoustic behavior and sound tuning via manual component selection. Totem uses internally designed components or parts sourced from long-term collaborations with selected partners. The cabinets are made of multi-layered MDF wood with hidden joint structures and specific internal bracing designed for controlled cabinet resonance. Crossovers are hand soldered and typically do not include overdrive protection to avoid signal interference. Totem conducts extensive listening tests with selected masters for tuning. Production of most models takes place in Canada. The company offers several product lines with floor-standing, bookshelf and wall-mounted models. Models are often named after animals or nature references.
