Description
A flat powerhouse. Solidly built tube amplifier. These things can’t be broken. This is soft, transparent, smooth…. with FULL POWER! With an output of 110 W per channel and the ability to adjust the damping factor, this amplifier offers flexibility.
This integrated amplification system delivers continuous output power of 2 x 110 W and peak power of 130 W at 4 Ohms. The frequency range extends from 20 Hz to 70 kHz at 90 W, with a total harmonic distortion of less than 0.1% at 10 W into 4 Ohms. The signal-to-noise ratio is -110 dB at 90 W. The system is equipped with four KT120 tubes and offers connections for five RCA line inputs, one XLR input, an optional phono input, an adjustable pre-out and a record output. It has features such as Octave Dynamic Technologies, adjustable damping factor, ECO mode, bias setting and power management. Optional features include a phono input for MM or MC and Black Box or Super Black Box expansions. The system weighs 22.7 kg and is available in silver or black.
The Octave V110 was designed and built in Germany with a focus on durability, musicality and precision. Designer Andreas Hofmann combined a tube amplifier with modern technology, focusing on optimal sound without unnecessary features. The housing is steel and aluminum, internally high-quality components with modulated circuit design are used. Balanced power supply and thermally controlled bias contribute to the stable performance.
Germany’s Octave builds insane machines with very well-wound transformers (this is where the company was born from). At the time of opening, designer/owner Andreas was still a child, but he made his first contribution to the development of his father’s company, and its strategic transition to audio component manufacturing in 1975, when he was less than 20 years old. He presented his first transistor and tube amplifiers.
