The internal wiring is minimalist, with direct signal paths for pure sound reproduction. The robust aluminum housing protects against microphonics and electromagnetic influences. Development and assembly take place in Salisbury, England, under the direction of engineers such as Steve Sells.
Naim Audio was founded in 1973 by Julian Vereker, a British engineer with a passion for electronics and music. In 1985, the company first received the prestigious Queen’s Award, a recognition that was later awarded twice more. In 1991, the company introduced its first CD player, the CDS, with a two-piece enclosure for improved performance.
