Description
Nutrition for more strength! Yes, it works. The background gets quieter, contours get more focus. Not spectacular in the foreground, but indispensable once you hear it. A small addition with a big effect. You only notice it when it’s gone again.
The compact power supply unit comes standard with the NAC 282 preamplifier and can also serve as an upgrade for the NAC 202 or as a power supply for the HeadLine headphone amplifier. This unit powers the digital and control circuits of the NAC 282, allowing the audio circuits to function independently with another power supply. This design contributes to improved musical performance of the connected hi-fi components. Although this power supply unit is no longer available, it remains an essential component for optimizing sound quality in compatible systems.
The Naim Supernait 3 is designed according to Naim’s “less is more” philosophy. The amplifier combines a completely discrete, hand-selected Class A preamp with a high-quality MM phono input. The internal wiring is minimalist, with direct signal paths for pure sound reproduction. The robust aluminum housing protects against microphonics and electromagnetic influences. Development and assembly take place in Salisbury, England, under the direction of engineers such as Steve Sells.
Naim Audio was founded in 1973 by Julian Vereker, a British engineer with a passion for electronics and music. In 1985, the company first received the prestigious Queen’s Award, a recognition that was later awarded twice more. In 1991, the company introduced its first CD player, the CDS, with a two-piece enclosure for improved performance. In 2000, the iconic NAP 500 amplifier was launched, followed by the development of the Statement amplifier system in 2014, a milestone in their engineering.
