Description

Description Freakuence!
Big and leaden. What power and suppleness. Michi provides a lot of detail and depth to the image but it never becomes sterile or thin. So, for those genes looking for the warm direction for their speakers. They keep just about all speakers very well under control, as a result a fast defined low end.

Heavy and awkward? Ho ho, you can’t just say that! Above average and less manageable, that sounds a little friendlier. Yes, audio can be above average heavy and less manageable, for this reason we have a bus, that is. We can deliver and change, but do not do so GRA-TIS unfortunately. Also, we assume the first floor. Delivery on a floor we are happy to think about, but not about THE RUG of the driver, so don’t just assume this.

General description
The amplifier delivers an impressive power output of 1,080 watts at 8 ohms and 1,800 watts at 4 ohms. It uses a class AB configuration with two specially designed transformers and four slit-foil capacitors, which support efficient energy storage. Inside are 32 high-current output transistors that provide accurate power transfer and consistency in timing. The front panel includes a display capable of showing both a peak power meter and a spectrum analyzer. Connectivity options include balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, with two sets of speaker outputs. In addition, integration is possible via RS232 and Ethernet, providing installation flexibility.
Background information
The Michi M8 mono amplifiers are designed with a focus on superior audio quality and rugged construction. Michi engineers used high-quality audio components and solid internal wiring to ensure a clean signal path. The enclosure is sturdy and minimalist in design, providing both aesthetic appeal and functional heat dissipation. Materials are carefully selected and production includes strict quality control to ensure consistency and durability.
Brand history
Michi is a sub-brand of the Japanese company Rotel, introduced in the 1990s as a range of high-quality audio equipment. The original Michi products, such as the RHC-10 preamplifier and the RHB-10 power amplifier, were characterized by their silver finish and red-colored sides. This line was aimed primarily at the Japanese market, but soon found worldwide success due to its superior audio performance and use of classic Japanese rosewood side panels. After several years, production of the original Michi line was discontinued. In 2019, Rotel revived the Michi brand with the introduction of new models, including the P5 preamplifier, the S5 stereo power amplifier and the M8 monoblock power amplifier. The result of three years of development, these new products combine advanced technology with contemporary design, continuing the tradition of providing high-quality audio components.

CD

The Compact Disc (CD), like most inventions, did not appear out of thin air. After the invention of the laser in 1958, the first patent for optically readable disks was filed in 1961. The first digital video records were introduced in 1972. After a flop by Philips, the manufacturer, together with Sony, released the first CD in 1979. We do not know what it contained, but in 1982 the first CD was released for the market, it was the album Visitors by ABBA. In this year the first player became available and so began the elimination of the LP from the market. Many have literally thrown their LPs in the trash… we still see some visitors being disappointed when they tell us this.
