Description
Linn streamers, yes, actually ahead of their time. Linn is known for its precision in processing digital signals, thanks to their special expertise. This Akurate goes up to 24-bit/192 kHz and has perfect timing. Very dynamic, very clean, very Linn. And the support from Linn seems like forever!
This device provides access to digital music over a network with no moving parts, eliminating mechanical noise. It converts digital music formats such as WAV, FLAC and MP3 to high-quality analog sound. It is compatible with streaming services such as Tidal and Qobuz, and supports music up to 24-bit/192 kHz. The system is easily controlled via an app and can be seamlessly integrated with external speakers using Exakt technology. Furthermore, the Dynamik power supply ensures a stable power supply and is controlled via an intu?tive interface for an optimal user experience. The system offers a wide range of connection options for both digital and analog sources.
The Linn Akurate DS/0 is designed according to Linn’s philosophy of minimal signal loss. The streamer incorporates a precision clock and carefully selected DAC components for optimal timing and detail reproduction. All critical internal connections are short and direct for minimal interference.
Linn was founded in 1973 by Ivor Tiefenbrun. It started with the production of the Sondek LP12, a turntable that was continuously improved in the following years. One of the first innovations was the introduction of an external power supply, the Valhalla, and other important developments followed later, such as the introduction of the Lingo power supply system in 1990. In 1986, Linn released the Troika cartridge, which provided improved signal reproduction. In the 1990s, Linn expanded its offerings to include digital products, such as the Karik/Numerik CD player, and launched the Knekt multiroom system in 1994. Linn builds almost everything in-house.
