Details
Sometimes people want something different, sometimes very quickly. Didn’t like that one, we are then asked…. No, it doesn’t necessarily work that way. Sometimes people upgrade immediately because they like the performance. Or another opportunity arises here in the shop, resulting in a trade-in. Also, it may not fit nicely into the whole set. Of course, it could also just be that someone is not satisfied.

Brand history
KEF was founded in 1961 in Maidstone, Kent, by former BBC ringmaster Raymond Cooke. The name is derived from Kent Engineering & Foundry, the site on which its first headquarters was located. In its early years, the company developed products using synthetic materials and mathematical models. KEF introduced the Reference concept in 1973, where each pair of systems was electronically matched. In the 1980s, KEF used digital technologies to optimize production. In 1988, the first computer-aided acoustic measurement system was used. Uni-Q driver technology was introduced in 1988 and has since been used in several models. KEF has had collaborations with outside designers, including Ross Lovegrove. In 2011, the Blade, the first model based on the single point source concept, was released. CD

CD

The Compact Disc (CD), like most inventions, did not appear out of thin air. After the invention of the laser in 1958, the first patent for optically readable disks was filed in 1961. The first digital video records were introduced in 1972. After a flop by Philips, the manufacturer, together with Sony, released the first CD in 1979. We do not know what it contained, but in 1982 the first CD was released for the market, it was the album Visitors by ABBA. In this year the first player became available and so began the elimination of the LP from the market. Many have literally thrown their LPs in the trash… we still see some visitors being disappointed when they tell us this.
