Description Freakuence!
We’ve known the H95 for a while and are constantly amazed at how easily it controls. Effortlessly. What is especially to be appreciated for the lover of neutral is how every detail is extracted from the recording without the thing getting upset. Tried different types of music, jazz, rock and thick house beats. Everything sounds balanced, even when very loud. We love that!

General description
The Hegel H95 is an integrated amplifier that also acts as a complete streaming solution. With support for AirPlay and UPnP streaming, as well as built-in Spotify Connect, it offers various options for playing digital music. The device is designed with an upgradeable software platform, making it easy to add new features and enhancements.
Inside, the H95 features a high-quality digital-to-analog converter, developed by the Hegel team, that provides natural sound reproduction. Patented SoundEngine2 technology reduces signal distortion and provides tight bass control, resulting in a dynamic and powerful bass response.
The H95 is flexible in use; all inputs can be set as fixed-level inputs, facilitating integration into a home theater or multiroom system. It also features a high-quality headphone output, a variable pre-out for connecting a subwoofer or other equipment, and an informative OLED display.
General description
We are an official dealer and can provide all other products and designs. We can often bring stuff from many other manufacturers to the shop as well. Feel free to ask! We trade in new and used.
The Home Theater bypass or Passthrough is there for those genes who really want to enjoy stereo without having to disconnect the surround setup. The HT input receives the Front and Left signal coming from the pre-out of the home theater processor. In surround playback, the HT input acts as a direct pass-through to the power amplifiers, so only the volume control of the surround processor has any influence. Are we unclear again? Send in your questions!
Shut up (phone). Don’t bother anyone, also sometimes nice. Plug in your headphones and cut yourself off from the often far too busy world.
Connect an (additional) power amplifier if you wish. The pre-out is also suitable for active subwoofers.
SPDIF is the abbreviation for Sony/Philips Digital Interface Format. (Nice that we, as a small country, have had influence there!) It is a standard for the transmission of a digital signal between, for example, a streamer or CD drive to dac. The cable used makes quite a difference in playback. A standard cable shows mostly a messy and abundant low, and the middle and high sludge into a mess. There are many who dispute this. Be skeptical, but there has to be a time for evaluation.
Optical input, interference-free and therefore proven to be the better option with some dacs, although they are often limiting in bitrate (yet there are dacs that let in up to 24 bit/192 kHz). The cable used is hugely important we can report, we’d be happy to let you assess these differences.
USB ports can transport up to the highest possible bit rate. Although sometimes they are only for connecting an external drive.
To the internal dac (digital-to-analog converter) you can connect digital devices such as an (inexpensive) streamer or television, allowing you to enjoy higher music quality.
The network function allows you to connect it to your home network to send music from your PC, tablet or phone to the device. Depending on the device, there is its own app, use your music service’s app, or grab a streaming app like M-Connect, giving you full-fledged streaming functionality for music services like Spotify, Tidal, Deezer and Qobuz.
Background information
The Hegel H95 was designed in Norway by the Hegel team led by Bent Holter, founder and chief engineer. The integrated amplifier combines a rugged steel case with internally fully symmetrical circuitry and Hegel’s proprietary SoundEngine2 technology, which eliminates distortion and preserves detail. Components are rigorously selected and partly sourced in Europe.
