Brand history
Elac was founded on Sept. 1, 1926, in Kiel, Germany, as Electroacustic GmbH. The company initially focused on developing sonar and communication technology for air and water. In 1948, Elac introduced its first consumer product, the PW1 record player, marking the beginning of their focus on audio technology.
