Description
The Densen Beat B-200 is a preamplifier known for its musical performance and versatility. With a sleek and minimalist design, it fits effortlessly into a variety of audio systems.
The Densen Beat B-200 was designed by Thomas Sillesen with a focus on pure signal transport and as little circuitry in the signal path as possible. The preamplifier contains a completely discrete, dual-mono construction without the use of opamps. Internal wiring is with gold-plated circuit boards and the power supply consists of separate power supplies for each channel. The cabinet is solid aluminum, CNC-machined for optimum vibration damping and shielding. Manufacturing takes place in Denmark.
Densen was founded in 1993 by Thomas Sillesen in Esbjerg, Denmark. The company manufactures components in Denmark and assembles them at its own production facility in Gandrup. All designs are developed in-house. Since its inception, Densen has maintained a modular approach to equipment design. The systems are designed with the possibility of future expansion via upgrade boards and external modules. A feature of the equipment is the lack of remote controls on most models; operation is done manually or through optional modules. The company operates with a closed service network and offers long-term maintenance. Circuit boards are produced with thick copper and gold-plated contacts and connectors. Models follow a recognizable design with a simple faceplate and symmetrical construction. Densen exclusively uses through-hole mounting and deliberately avoids surface-mount technology in component production.
