Description
Looks nice! And sits comfortably around the ears, mind you. The mids are warm and inviting, while the highs are reproduced clearly and without sharpness. With the right amp a very easy soundstage.
The Bowers & Wilkins P9 Signature is an over-ear headphone known for its detailed and spacious sound reproduction. The angled placement of the drivers creates a natural listening experience, where the sound seems to come in front of you instead of from the side.
The design combines functionality with aesthetics. The headband and ear pads are covered in high-quality Italian Saffiano leather, ensuring a comfortable fit even during longer listening sessions. The sturdy aluminum arms contribute to the headphones’ durability.
A convenient feature is the foldable design, making the P9 Signature easy to carry around.
Bowers & Wilkins, founded in 1966 by John Bowers and Roy Wilkins, began in the English town of Worthing. The company grew out of Bowers’ passion for sound engineering, which he developed while working in an electronics store. John Bowers was a perfectionist with a strong commitment to acoustic precision. In the years that followed, the company grew under Bowers’ leadership, playing a central role until his death in 1987. The focus was on research and development, with the team bringing innovations in sound reproduction technology. After Bowers’ death, the company took new directions under different owners.
