Description
Full three-way system from the beautiful cm series. The predecessors of the current 700 series! Sound super clear due to their nice tweeter. Connect these slim columns to a nice amplifier, and you won’t know what you hear. They like to receive a lot of power. The tweeter then provides airy and precise treble, the low tight and controlled.
The Bowers & Wilkins CM8 S2 was designed with both acoustic performance and elegance in mind. The slim design fits into modern interiors without compromising sound quality. The speaker uses a decoupled Double Dome tweeter and FST Kevlar midrange driver, ensuring clarity and detail. The wooden cabinet is acoustically optimized and made of high-quality materials.
Bowers & Wilkins, founded in 1966 by John Bowers and Roy Wilkins, began in the English town of Worthing. The company grew out of Bowers’ passion for sound engineering, which he developed while working in an electronics store. John Bowers was a perfectionist with a strong commitment to acoustic precision. In the years that followed, the company grew under Bowers’ leadership, playing a central role until his death in 1987. The focus was on research and development, with the team bringing innovations in sound reproduction technology. After Bowers’ death, the company took new directions under different owners.
