The AudioQuest Niagara 1200 was designed by Garth Powell, who plays a central role in the development of AudioQuest’s power products. The Niagara 1200 utilizes patented techniques for power purification and employs Direction-Controlled Ground-Noise Dissipation and Non-Sacrificial Surge Protection. The enclosure is resonance-optimized steel, with internal wiring fitted according to AudioQuest’s Zero-Tech principle for maximum signal integrity.
AudioQuest was founded in 1980 by William E. Low. In its early years, the brand developed speaker cables built through directionality and specific conductor materials. Starting in the 1990s, AudioQuest began producing interconnect cables and followed with an expansion of the range to include power cables, HDMI cables and digital interconnects. In 2012, the company introduced the DragonFly, a compact USB digital-to-analog converter. AudioQuest uses different types of conductor materials, including Long-Grain Copper (LGC), Perfect-Surface Copper (PSC) and Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS). In addition, the brand applies techniques such as Noise-Dissipation System (NDS) and Dielectric-Bias System (DBS). AudioQuest develops products in-house and works with a focus on signal transport and noise shielding.
