The unit is designed with a dual mono construction and uses high-quality components. The AT8000 offers extensive impedance and gain adjustment options, allowing you to choose the optimal settings for your specific element. Both RCA and XLR connections are provided, with gold-plated RCA and silver XLR connectors.
Astin Trew was founded in 2003 by Michael Osborn. The brand grew out of his personal interest in electronic components and audio reproduction. All products are designed in the United Kingdom, with attention to component selection and circuit layout. Most production takes place in Europe. Design uses a combination of transistor and tube technology. The brand’s approach is to have designs consistently meet specific technical criteria, including attention to power control, internal cabling and resonance control. The devices use discrete components whenever possible, building on previous designs with limited modifications to maintain performance. Products are tested and tuned by the founder himself, who evaluates each final product individually before delivery.
