Very transparent playing B&W. Where its predecessors accentuated the midrange more, the D3 series plays on the natural spectrum more than before, but in the way B&W likes to see (read: hear)! Voices are portrayed full foreground. The low of these ‘small’ columns goes quite deep when they are pulled into battle on a nice amplifier. Feel free to ask for advice! <\/span><\/div>\n

Heavy and awkward? Ho ho, you can’t just say that! Above average and less manageable, that sounds a little friendlier. Yes, audio can be above average heavy and less manageable, for this reason we have a bus, that is. We can deliver and change, but do not do so GRA-TIS unfortunately. Also, we assume the first floor. Delivery on a floor we are happy to think about, but not about THE RUG of the driver, so don’t just assume this. <\/span><\/div>\n

The Bowers & Wilkins 802 D3 is a floorstanding speaker known for its accurate and detailed sound reproduction. With a slim design, it fits into living rooms as well as studio environments. The 802 D3 is equipped with a Diamond tweeter and a Continuum cone midrange driver, providing a natural and clear sound. The Turbine Head construction minimizes cabinet resonances, keeping the sound pure and undistorted. In addition, the Aerofoil bass units contribute to a tight and deep bass response. The solid enclosure and advanced internal bracing provide stability and reduce unwanted vibrations. The Bowers & Wilkins 802 D3 was designed with absolute precision by the R&D team led by engineer Laurence Dickie. The cabinet is made of solid Plywood with an aluminum Turbine Head for minimal resonance. The diamond tweeter and Continuum midrange cone provide exceptional clarity. Internal cabling comes from Mundorf and everything is assembled by hand in the UK. <\/span><\/div>\n
Brand history<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
Bowers & Wilkins was founded in 1966 by John Bowers in Worthing, England. The first loudspeaker, the P1, was assembled by hand in a workshop behind an electronics store. In 1968, the company was officially registered as B&W Loudspeakers Ltd. In 1974, the brand introduced the DM6, followed by the 801 in 1979, a model used in recording studios. Bowers & Wilkins developed several models in the 800 Series in the following years. In 1998, its R&D center, the Steyning Research Establishment, was opened. In 2015, the company introduced the 800 Series Diamond. Head designers such as Laurence Dickie and later John Dibb contributed to product development.
