The KEF KW1 is a wireless subwoofer adapter that allows you to connect your KEF subwoofer to your audio system without wires. This kit consists of a compact transmitter and receiver designed to work seamlessly with KEF subwoofers such as the Kube series, KC62 and KC92. The KEF KW1 allows you to flexibly position your subwoofer without being limited by cabling, ensuring optimal positioning and an enhanced soundstage. <\/p>\n

The KEF KW1 uses the 5GHz frequency range for stable and high-quality wireless signal transmission. This results in detailed and dynamic low-frequency reproduction, bringing your music and movies to life with a rich and accurate stereo image. The transmitter is powered via USB, while the receiver is powered directly through the subwoofer’s expansion port, ensuring a simple and neat installation. <\/p>\n

The KEF R3 Meta is designed according to KEF’s acoustic philosophy: clear, accurate sound with minimal distortion. The speaker features the latest Uni-Q driver array with Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT), which absorbs unwanted resonances up to 99%. The cabinet is reinforced with Constrained Layer Damping for reduced vibration. Developed by KEF’s acoustics team led by Jack Oclee-Brown. <\/span><\/div>\n
Brand history<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
KEF was founded in 1961 in Maidstone, Kent, by former BBC ringmaster Raymond Cooke. The name is derived from Kent Engineering & Foundry, the site on which its first headquarters was located. In its early years, the company developed products using synthetic materials and mathematical models. KEF introduced the Reference concept in 1973, where each pair of systems was electronically matched. In the 1980s, KEF used digital technologies to optimize production. In 1988, the first computer-aided acoustic measurement system was used. Uni-Q driver technology was introduced in 1988 and has been used in several models since then. KEF has had collaborations with outside designers, including Ross Lovegrove. In 2011, the Blade, the first model based on the concept of a single point source, was released. KEF has offices worldwide, including Hong Kong, Germany, France, Japan and the US.
