The Krell PAM-5 was designed with a focus on precision and purity, typical of Krell’s approach to high-end audio engineering. The design team, including Dan D’Agostino, used high-quality materials such as gold-plated connectors and discrete components for optimal signal integrity. The internal wiring was carefully chosen to minimize noise. The enclosure is solid aluminum, providing excellent heat dissipation and durability. Brand history<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n
Krell was founded in 1980 by Dan and Rondi D’Agostino. Its first product was the KSA-100, a fully balanced amplifier with Class-A operation. Krell introduced several technologies over the years, including Sustained Plateau Biasing and CAST (Current Audio Signal Transmission). In 1997, the company moved to a larger location in Orange, Connecticut. Between 2009 and 2011 came a restructuring of product offerings. In 2011, the Krell brand was applied in a car manufacturer model. In 2016, a private investment group acquired brand share. In 2020, one of the original engineers, David Goodman, returned as Director of Product Development. Since 2022, all products have been developed and assembled at a location in Connecticut.
