General description<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Atoll MS120 is a versatile network player that effortlessly streams music from a variety of sources. Whether you listen to high-definition music via your network, a USB drive, hard drive, Bluetooth or your favorite Internet radio stations, this player adapts to your listening needs. Thanks to its built-in high-quality DAC, the MS120 can be used as both a pure source and a preamplifier. <\/p>\n

With support for DLNA and UPnP, you can easily play audio files via a wired RJ45 or wireless Wi-Fi connection. The 5-inch TFT LED color display shows album covers, track information and resolutions, while the gapless system ensures uninterrupted playback between songs. <\/p>\n

The MS120 offers direct access to streaming services such as Qobuz, Tidal, Deezer, Amazon Music and HighResAudio via the ‘ATOLL Signature 2’ app, available for both Android and iOS. In addition, the player is compatible with Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect, allowing you to easily stream music from your favorite platforms. <\/p>\n

With two USB-A ports on the front and back, you can easily connect a hard drive or USB stick. The player supports various audio formats, including MQA, DSD, FLAC and MP3, and accepts resolutions up to 24-bit\/192 kHz and DSD128. <\/p>\n

The Atoll MS120 is compatible with Roon and Audirv\u0101na, ensuring a seamless listening experience. In addition, the player offers access to approximately 100,000 Internet radio stations and podcasts through the Airable system, with the ability to save favorites for quick access. <\/p>\n

General description<\/strong><\/p>\n

Shut up (phone). Don’t bother anyone, also sometimes nice. Plug in your headphones and cut yourself off from the often far too busy world.<\/p>\n

Also so tired of having to turn on your whole stack of components? If they have a so-called trigger (this one does), then you’re in the right place. Trigger cable in between, and everything switches each other on or off (as long as they don’t mix). <\/p>\n

Even analog equipment can be connected through the internal analog board. <\/p>\n

SPDIF is the abbreviation for Sony\/Philips Digital Interface Format. (Nice that we, as a small country, have had influence there!) It is a standard for the transmission of a digital signal between, for example, a streamer or CD drive to dac. The cable used makes quite a difference in playback. A standard cable shows mostly a messy and abundant low, and the middle and high sludge into a mess. There are many who dispute this. Be skeptical, but there has to be a time for evaluation. <\/p>\n

Optical input, interference-free and therefore proven to be the better option with some dacs, although they are often limiting in bitrate (yet there are dacs that let in up to 24 bit\/192 kHz). The cable used is hugely important we can report, we’d be happy to let you assess these differences. <\/p>\n

The USB port allows the highest possible bit rate to be transported.<\/p>\n

Via the digital output, you can have the streamer part bypass the internal dac, and then connect this digital signal to another dac (analog you can then continue to output as well). Interesting in any dac upgrade, or as a fun dac comparison experiment with audio friends. You could also take the digital signal to another dac in a different zone, this allows you to play the same music in multiple places, while the analog volume of both rooms can be different. <\/p>\n

Pull albums straight from the music library of music services or from your own NAS. The streamer does this easily via your phone, tablet or laptop. <\/p>\n

The network function allows you to connect it to your home network to send music from your PC, tablet or phone to the device. Depending on the device, there is its own app, use your music service’s app, or grab a streaming app like M-Connect, giving you full-fledged streaming functionality for music services like Spotify, Tidal, Deezer and Qobuz. <\/p>\n

More screens in the house! Nice touch. Album covers are beautifully displayed on the screen, where you can also easily change settings. <\/p>\n

The Atoll ST200 Signature was designed in France by the regular Atoll development team, with an eye for maximum synergy between digital and analog technologies. The enclosure is made of brushed aluminum, while internally high-quality components are used, such as a Burr-Brown DAC and fully separate power supplies.
