Plays with all the ease.     <\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"specification-item row-even\"><span class=\"spec-content\"><strong>General description<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"specification-item row-odd\"><span class=\"spec-content\"><\/p>\n<p>With an output of 2 x 150 watts at 8 ohms, this system provides enough power to drive a variety of speakers. It features both analog and digital inputs, including a balanced XLR input, two unbalanced RCA inputs, three optical inputs, a coaxial input and a USB port. There is also a network connection for streaming capabilities. Frequency response ranges from 5 Hz to 100 kHz, with a signal-to-noise ratio of more than 100 dB. The damping factor is higher than 4000, which contributes to a tight bass response. The unit measures 12 cm in height, 43 cm in width and 41 cm in depth, and weighs 17 kg.     <\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"specification-item row-even\"><span class=\"spec-content\"><strong>Brand history<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"specification-item row-odd\"><span class=\"spec-content\"><\/p>\n<p>Hegel was founded in Norway in the late 1980s by Bent Holter. In his graduate project at Trondheim University of Technology, he developed a solution for reducing distortion in transistor amplifiers. This led to the technology that later became known as SoundEngine. In 1988, the name Hegel was first used for an amplifier. The company released several CD players and amplifiers in the 1990s. In 1996, the first fully balanced amplifier was introduced. Around 2004, the brand began developing DA converters. Later products featured networking capabilities to support digital music playback. Hegel exclusively markets its own electronics, developing both the circuit design and the necessary software itself.
