Description Freakuence!

This is what they can and do at Diapason, this is what we get to enjoy here. These are gigantic cabinets, don’t mistake this (see specifications below). The set sounds incredibly pleasant. The low end very powerful but fine. The midrange as we know from the brand, but much grander and quieter. A beautiful stage, feeling larger than the rooms we listened in.

Retail price: 49,990.00

Details

This set was manufactured especially for Dutch Van den Hul in this beautiful wood finish. This is the set that Van den Hul listened to review.

General description

The Diapason Dynamis is a floor-standing speaker that combines craftsmanship and attention to detail. Its 14-sided design has been carefully engineered to minimize internal resonances, contributing to a clear and natural sound reproduction. The cabinet is constructed from high-quality MDF and finished with a special fiberglass coating, ensuring durability and improved acoustic performance. The speaker is equipped with a midrange driver featuring a Nextel-coated paper cone and a silk soft-dome tweeter, resulting in low distortion and excellent transient response. The crossover is hand-built and wired to prevent signal loss and phase shifts, ensuring dynamic and coherent sound reproduction. The Dynamis is available in various finishes, including metallic bronze, glossy white, and dark gray, so it can complement a variety of interiors. With its combination of design and sound quality, the Diapason Dynamis offers a listening experience that comes close to live music.

Background information

The Diapason Dynamis was designed by Alessandro Schiavi, with a focus on natural sound reproduction and musicality. The cabinet is made entirely of solid Canadian walnut using a traditional “violin-style” method, which minimizes resonance. The internal wiring is top-quality and hand-assembled. All components, including the drivers, have been selected for their musical performance.

Brand history

Diapason was founded in 1987 by Alessandro Schiavi in Italy. The origin of the brand lies in the collaboration between technicians with experience in the field of measurement instrumentation. The first model, the Prelude, was developed with the aim of achieving natural reproduction of timbre. Since then, Diapason has released several models, including Adamantes in 1989 and Micra in 1991. In 2001, the brand introduced the Karis, followed by products such as the Astera, Neos and Romagna. The models are designed with attention to the choice of materials. Production takes place in Italy, using solid wood for the housings. The designs are characterized by the application of specific geometries. Diapason carries a limited number of models and works with components selected for acoustic properties. Development and assembly are carried out in-house.
